The incarnation of Jesus Christ is one of the most incredible truths of the Christian faith. That fact that God came into this world in human form, is beyond understanding. The Apostle Paul, in his letter to Christians who lived in Colossi in the 1st century AD, described Jesus as the one in whom “all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form” (Colossians Chapter 2 verse 9, The Bible). God came to us, in the person of Jesus, and Matthew records that He was given the name “Immanuel”, which means God with us (Matthew Chapter 1 verse 23, The Bible).
The great reality of the incarnation is that God came to us, so that we can come to Him. The Apostle Peter writes these amazing words, “For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God (1 Peter Chapter 3 verse 18, The Bible).
“Immanuel our God is with us
And if God is with us who could stand against us
Our God is with us
