Over the past few days I have been making travel arrangements for visiting Rome with friends.
We first visited Rome just over two years ago and as I started to plan for this new trip I was recalling just what an amazing place it is.
When in Rome you cannot help but be in awe of the architecture and the grandeur of the former Roman Empire that oozes from so much of the city.
On watching a documentary recently on 'Rome, the Eternal City' I was astounded at how advanced the Romans were, thousands of years earlier, when it came to developing the infrastructure required to support a thriving and expanding city population.
And then, one morning I took up my daily reading from the Bible and read the following:
“LORD, there is no one like you! For you are great, and your name is full of power. Who would not fear you, O King of nations? That title belongs to you alone! Among all the wise people of the earth and in all the kingdoms of the world, there is no one like you.”
Jeremiah 10:6-7 NLT
Wow! And, we don't need to travel the world to be in awe of our great God. We don't need to pay a fare, we don't need to arrange time off work, we can spend time with Him and experience His greatness in our lives every day; there is no one like Him!
